A documentary about the joy of movement
Hese-kisat is a Finnish team athletics competition for 5th and 6th graders, organized by Hesburger in collaboration with the Finnish Athletics Federation. For its 20th anniversary, we created a documentary celebrating two decades of the competition, the joy of sports and community. The documentary was also adapted into shorter social media versions and a 30-second TV spot.
I edited the 20th anniversary documentary and its various cutdowns and photographed the Hese-kisat final for marketing purposes. It was a really fun and interesting project to work with. The subject felt meaningful and I enjoyed the challenge of shaping the story into a coherent documentary while working with different types of material. It’s always fun to make documentaries and find the story within the footage.

reality series for recruitment campaign
I edited a 6-part video series, “Mun Vuoro,” for Hesburger as part of their recruitment campaign. The videos were published on Hesburger’s website and on Sanoma’s Ruutu streaming platform. The episodes are 3–4 minutes each, and I also created 15 and 30 second social media clips from each episode. In addition, I designed the logo for the series.
The series introduces three different Hesburger employees, each with their own story to tell: how long they have worked at Hesburger, how they got into the business, and what kind of career opportunities Hesburger offers.
One of the main challenges was working with a large amount of footage and turning it into a coherent 6-part series that followed the brief. The editing required selecting the most relevant material and shaping it into individual episodes while keeping the overall series consistent.
